『31 Days of Blogtober』Creatures of the Night Book Tag

Today I'll do the Creatures of the Night Book Tag which was originally created by katytastic over at youtube. That was a pretty hard task, since I didn't want to pick all the obvious choices. Hope I was able to pick a few not too popular book (series).

Vampire
Night Watch by Sergej Lukianenko

This is an adult urban fantasy book series which contains a lot of different creatures and magic. It's set in Russia and is a really exciting adventurous read. The only thing that takes a bit getting used to is the switching between different names for each character.

Werewolf
The Shadowhunters Chronicles by Casandra Clare

I just chose City of Bones for the whole of the Shadowhunter Chronicles. One exciting series with a lot of different characters and a mix of creatures and demons. A young adult urban fantasy series with its ups and downs.

I personally like The Mortal Instruments better than The Infernal Devices, I was so annoyed with TID and it's drama. Also TMI has my most favourite character ever in it. SIMON FOREVER!!! Oops, he's not the werewolf though. Luke's the werewolf, but Simon is the best.

Ghost
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

What better book to pick than this cute and fun middle grade read. Well cute is a bit strange since the story takes place in a graveyard, but it's a very exciting read for all ages with a ghosts, humans and magic in it.

Witch/Warlock/Spellcaster
The Septimus Heap Series by Angie Sage

Another middle grade read for all ages. It's fun, it's adventurous, it's magical. One of my favourite series. I chose the first book to represent the whole series just because we learn a lot in this instalment.
Through the whole series we follow Septimus Heap on his journey as a witch's apprentice and how he has to overcome a few obstacles to save the city he lives in.

Fairy/ Fae
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

Until recently this was the only book I ever read which is about fairies. Still didn't continue with this series, even though I enjoyed it.
We follow Meghan how she discovers what she is and how she makes a trip into the  fairy world to save someone she loves.

Demon
White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Read this trilogy as an e-book gladly. The covers are just horrible and don't do the books justice.
It's a nice young adult urban fantasy story which follows Layla how she discovers what she is and who she is. She has to decide who to follow and on which side to stay. The demon or the gargoyle? or is it possible to choose both sides?

Angle
Penryn an the End of Days by Susan Ee

Again chose the first book to represent the whole trilogy. This also was the first book centred around angles I ever read. A dystopian young adult read which is easy and fast to read. We discover that angles aren't what we thought they were and get to see a battle for life and dead, for confidence and trust.

Alien
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

This epic sci-fi adventure gives us the answer of all the questions in existence. We learn how the world could have been saved and that you need a towel to travel through the universe.
This is a fun read which has a lot to discover.

Superpowered Human
Ruby Red by Kirstin Gier

A trilogy set in London written by a German author. Which means I read this book in German and can't say anything about the English translation.
This is a fun and fast read. All three books are finished in no time. I think I read every book in one to two sittings in a day. It's an easy read with some time travel elements set in contemporary times. A young adult read also suited for younger readers.

Zombie
I thought about that a long time and had to discover I never read a book with zombies in it. Actually I just don't have the need to do so. I'm not interested in them at all. They just scare me.
